I'm bogged down in novel writing, story revisions, and garden wrangling, but I wanted to drop a quick note about my latest poem, published by the nice folks at Strange Horizons. It was inspired by the experience of watching my mother's house, the place I spent my childhood, slowly decay and be reclaimed by the land. In my mind I can simultaneously envision how it looked when we lived there, how it looks now, and how it might look in the future, and the feelings those images evoke are powerful ones for me.
